Privacy policy

Volta Riders is a social app for riders and an electric-scooter community. This policy explains how we handle the information you use within the app.

For privacy enquiries, data changes or information deletion, you can contact the team from Volta Support inside the app or by email at soporte@voltariders.app.

Account data: email, name, handle, avatar, country, city, role, verification status and data needed to sign in.

Profile and activity data: posts, images you upload, followers, following, friends, clans, meetups, garage, scooters, rankings, reports and account preferences.

Location data: if you enable map or live-location features, we may process your location to show you on the map or improve related features. You can turn off location in the app settings.

Technical data: basic device, browser and session information, security logs and events needed to keep the app stable and secure.

Payment data: if you use VOLTA+, payments are processed through Stripe. Volta Riders does not store your full card details; it only keeps the information needed to know whether your subscription is active.

We use the data to create and maintain your account, display your profile, enable social features, and manage meetups, chats, clans, garage and location when you enable it.

We also use it for security, abuse prevention, moderation, support, profile verification, subscription management and technical improvement of the app.

We do not sell your personal data.

We may use providers needed for Volta Riders to work, such as Supabase for authentication and database, hosting providers, transactional email services and Stripe for payments.

We may also share information where necessary to meet legal obligations, protect the app's security or respond to abuse, fraud or serious incidents.

Part of your information may be visible to other users: name, handle, avatar, profile, posts, scooters, clans, rankings, followers and verification status.

Live location should only be shown when you enable that feature. Review your settings before using map or meetup features.

We keep your data while you have an account or while it's needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve incidents or meet legal obligations.

You can delete your account from Settings. When you do, the main information associated with your profile is deleted or unlinked, except data we must keep temporarily for security, support, technical logs, abuse prevention or legal requirements.

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to the processing of your data where applicable.

You can also change basic data from the app, modify your email or password in Settings, disable location features and ask the support team for help.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your account and your data. Even so, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Use a strong password, don't share your account and let the team know if you notice unusual access or suspicious activity.

Volta Riders is meant for a responsible community. If you're a minor, use the app with authorization from your parent or legal guardian, especially for location, meetup or contact features with other users.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app, security improvements, new features or legal changes. When a change is significant, we'll try to notify it visibly within Volta Riders.
