How to delete your Volta Riders account

Steps to delete your account

1. Open the Volta Riders app and sign in with the account you want to delete.
2. Go to your Profile → Settings.
3. Scroll down to the “Danger zone” section.
4. Tap “Delete my account”.
5. Type your username (@handle) to confirm you want to delete it.
6. The account is deleted instantly and you're signed out.

What data is deleted

When you delete your account, your profile (name, handle, avatar, bio), your sign-in credentials and the content associated with your account are removed: posts, comments, messages, scooter garage, clan and meetup memberships, and your VOLTA+ subscription history.

What data we keep, and why

We keep a minimal audit record (that your account was deleted, when, and the handle it had) for security, fraud prevention and to meet legal obligations. That record does not include your email, password or the content you posted. If you made VOLTA+ payments, the billing information required by law (date, amount, taxes) is kept for as long as applicable tax rules require, managed by our payment provider.
